....all of the pirates would accually buy the 6 different versions of stuffit they have if they couldnt pirate it. they WOULD buy photoshop 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 even thoughthey use it once a year. every item of software pirated would have been baught....
that's the only way i can think of that the spa could justify themselves. how do they come up with the 200 figure numbers that they tell _wired_ is how much money they lost? they sure as hell don't monitor warez-d00dz downloads or there would be busts every 5 minutes.
with the money they use to track warez distributors, they could pay for all of the software that people would have accually bought instead of pirating it. sell the domain name "spa.com" and give the money to adobe. that should cover the losses....
